cheryl who was just called up bids $545, contestant 2 - $500, contestant 3 $450 & the last contestant $501.. this has got to be as bad as it gets

Even worse when the first person bid $500 then the 2nd one bids $600, 3rd one bids $601 and then acts surprised when the 4th one bids $602.

In all fairness to the $501 bidder, or any poor bidders, My wife got "called down" and she said it's excruciatingly difficult to hear the bids with everyone yelling behind you (pre-COVID). Some contestants don't want to ask for the previous bids to bid read over.

The microphones are mostly for the TV feed, and it's very difficult to hear in the studio.

i love the contestants called up at the start but never leave the panel. if im ever called up i'm starting the bidding at a high number because it's usually higher than most bids but whoever is last should always do the dollar over

I was watching once and a lady bid five dollars under the previous bid and Drew just stared at her with this "are you an idiot?" look on his face.

happens every show, these people are picked because they're challenged, the stupidity keeps me coming back, speaking of. it's that time for the last show of the Week

There was an episode during Bob Barker's time where a contestant bid $1000 and another after that bid $999. Bob basically called the guy out on the stupid bid and saying the only way he could win with that was to be exactly right. Turns out that's exactly what happened.

Nice find Yoinks. Bob was such a classy guy. I’m sure he felt okay teasing the contestant about the bid because he knew the guy had hit the price exactly right. It wouldn’t have been funny for Bob to do this had the guy lost.

See my comment above about how difficult it is to hear the other bids on contestant's row. Plus, some contestants just have a price in mind and get all flustered and just keep it.
