How is this rated higher than Fatal Attraction?

Fatal Attraction is about 4000% times better than this - better script, WAY better acting, WAY better directing. I guess cause this came out first it's better?? But seriously folks - this movie is like the student-film version of Fatal Attraction

I found Play Misty for Me a thousand times superior to Fatal Attraction, which was way overdone. The earlier film is more pared down and effective IMO.
