The Game

Does any one no the name of the game that he was playing with the bartender?
Please help!

The're making Commentaries as we speak...

reply

They call it "Cry Bastion" or something, but it isn't a real game. It's a put-on designed to get girls' attention (which is how he gets Evelyn Draper to approach him).

"Don't be a putz. See the world. Me you've seen already."

reply

Well serves his right for all the terror then, I mean you shouldn't go pulling girls for a one nighter and then drop them like a stone. So he had what he deserves I think, even though people were more premiscuous back then (before AIDS!).

"You're Only Supposed To Blow The Bloody Doors Off!"

reply

God, how could girls be anymore premiscuous than they are these days? Being a single male back then must have been nutz.

reply

Promiscuous girls have always been with us. It's only in the last decade or so that they've made their leanings more public.

Curiously, the Evelyn Drapers seem to be in short supply. Coincidence, or no?

He told her from the beginning g he wasn't looking for a relationship and didn't want to complicate his life he was very up front with her she was the one who was delusional

reply

It sounded like "Cry Bastard" to me, but I am probably wrong.

reply

Yes Bobby I thought the same as you

reply

It says "Cry Bastion" in the captions.

The biggest mystery of the game to me is that it ever lured women down to the other end of the bar. I know in Evelyn's case that was her intention all along, but Dave and bartender played it as if it had worked before. Sheesh, it's just a couple of guys moving corks around and saying silly things like "fool's ploy, my man!" and she's got this look on her face as if they're playing Russian Roulette or juggling chain saws.
