Disgusting -- Don't Even Bother to Turn This On

This movie stars with an actual slaughter of a cow. I had read many years ago that this was a disgusting movie and considered by critics to be the nadir of contemporary cinema at its time. How right it was.

I like this movie a lot and consider it to be one of Hackman’s and Reed’s best movies.

The Biggest problem with this movie

Oliver Reed sucks at Westerns

And he sucked here

He only did one other -=-- Lonesome Dove --- The only reason he didn't suck there was he didn't get that much screen time

He was pretty good in all his other efforts

At least the ones that made it to the states

Don't think he lived here that long
