Absolutely Great Opening

I couldn’t agree more. Tubi recommended this to me after watching five or six lifeless and uninspired Chuck Norris movies. What a breath of fresh air this was.

How about the scene when the two thugs chase Jillian Kessner through that commercial area? Even the music was perfect.

If you really liked Firecracker and Jillian Kessner you have got to see Raw Force (1982). It’s absolutely amazing. In fact, I’d say it’s one of the best exploitation films ever made.

Yeah, that scene was also fantastic. The urban grittiness honestly reminded me of something far more highbrow like The French Connection or Taxi Driver.

I’ll try to track down Raw Force tonight. Thanks for the suggestion!

Video in the link is dead, but I agree the opening sequence was pretty good. Watching it for the first time today, and the death surprised me. I thought the fight was a collegial exhibition, even when the guy was using the bladed weapon, Chuck didn't seem phased by it at all, so I didn't think he was going to kill him.

I see Raw Force mentioned above. I watched that recently and thought it was great.
