Ok so I adore this movie and I'm always happy to praise it. It belongs in my top 15 movies of all time for sure.
However after many many viewings it did start to feel a little bit too slow from the 2nd to 3rd act (the part after Alex goes to prison)
Does anyone else also feel the length on this part?
Not really because that’s when the film’s deeper and more complex ideas become more pronounced - all the stuff about sinister powerful elites using Alex as a political pawn. Kubrick is obsessed with such ideas, and I’m still chewing on them.
100% agreee. Still def in my top 10 list. I was looking for my all time favorite movie and because there's a few middling scenes this does not qualify as my #1, nor #2..prob around #6 or #7.
