Greatest Kubrick film ever no contest.

I think the three greatest Kubrick films are A clockwork Orange, The Shining and 2001 A space odyssey, while all of them are a masterpiece in their own, I think this one wins as his greatest film of all, this film is so amazing, it really plays with our mind, in the beginning I was disgusted by Alex and by the end of the film I kinda felt sorry for him, this movie is truly amazing, one of the best, I'm only 21 BTW and I love this film since I was 14 which was the first time I watched it.

They are all so good and in a league of their own it's hard to rank.

2001, ACO, Eyes Wide Shut, The shining, Barry Lyndon, Paths of Glory, Lolita are all Terrific..I like the others too...all close behind.

I'd say this is his fourth best after 2001, Barry Lyndon, and The Shining. Full Metal Jacket, Dr. Strangelove, and Paths of Glory come right after.

2001 is the greatest. This film has its merits and is very unique, but no film tackles the whole story of humanity like 2001, and its difficult to imagine another film doing so as successfully.

Hmm, I rate 2001 first, ACO second and The Shining third. but I'm a major horror fan, Shining should be first? But then 2001 is just so jaw-dropping, so many everyday things we take for granted were predicted by Arthur Clarke and Kubrick brought it all to life. ACO does the same for politics, sociology, psychology, history, so many topics. The Shining is just a wonderful horror film, it feels so subtle even when it's right in your face.

I don't think anything can top 2001 for me, but ACO would probably be in my top 3 Kubrick films as well.
