I saw this cartoon last night on ABC, and I noticed that they had done a hatchet job on the songs. Jessica's beautiful song "My World Is Beginning Today" was completely removed, and "Gifts Beneath A Christmas Tree" was trimmed in half. I started watching during "One Foot In Front Of The Other". It was uncut, but I believe they trimmed down the other previous songs, such as "It's A Difficult Responsibility" & "If You Sit On My Lap Today". It's better nowadays to watch these Christmas specials uncut on home video.

Watching on ABC Family right now and they cut off the line where they got married in the forest by themselves because "no church would have them..." because you know, sin.

So silly. Why did they cut it?

Still disappointed at ABC. I'm watching this special right now on ABC New York, and they removed the songs If You Sit On My Lap Today & My World Is Beginning Today. As before, they cut the song Gifts Beneath A Christmas Tree in half.

Was watching too. Disappointed! Then searched it on YouTube and it's there in it's entirety.

I'm amazed the big networks even allow the word Christmas on there property in any form.

Why? There's a lot of money to be made during Christmas. It's all about the money, not the holiday. Why do you think these specials are so heavily edited? More commercials means more money.
