The Korean War was not a joke!

I agree. I hate this movie too for that reason.

you do realize what a heavily anti war movie this is right?
and how they're in surgery.......surgering people?
and how about in the series, alan aldas constant cliche'd "LOOK HOW TERRIBLE WAR IS!LOOK AT IT!" type things over and over

this whole fcking thing is against war, everything about it
but i dont think it'd be allowed to be released if they saw soldiers using prisoners broken arms to tie them up to trees so they would'nt have to use precious rope, or seeing peasants being burnt alive by napalm sticking to their skin

also remember that this is a movie, not necessarily a historical document

and dont i remember seeing somewhere that real mash surgeons had seen this and called it realistic? maybe not including the insubordination though

what summer camp that looks like that have you been to?...there is a word called satire...look it up

This is what's known as "black comedy." The entire purpose of the movie is to illustrate the pain of war, not portray it as a summer camp. The humor that IS used is meant to depict how they use humor to distract themselves from how horrified they are by the war.

To say that MASH made the Korean War look like a summer camp is like saying Ambrose Bierce made the Civil War look like daycare.

It's a black comedy. And have you ever seen this movie? It was extremely dark, not at all like Summer Camp. The whole film was dark for a reason, they made it because they hated war.

Looks like Explorer has a partner in trolldom. That is, if they're not the same guy using two different accounts. They even use the same lingo.
