I just finished watching this and I find myself speechless. I will say the obvious: That this is one of the most visually beautiful movies ever. It's a unique combination of highly cinematically bombastic visuals with sensitive character study and a social and political conscience. I can't wait to watch it again so I can more fully understand it.

What's the Spanish for drunken bum?

I had a pretty similar reaction. It's stunningly good on every level. Absolutely brilliant.

No not really. Pretentious, boring and very stiff.
