LIFETIME SECURED PLACE IN MY TOP TEN ALL TIME FLICKS...HOFFMAN IS AMAZING,VOIGHT AS WELL,NEW YORK OF THE 60'S,THE SOUNDTRACK,THAT ENDING...OH MY GOD THAT ENDING...ALMOST PERFECT FILMMAKING.

I give it a thumbs up as well. A great piece of 60s groundbreaking film making.
Hoffman and Voight did some daring stuff here, very on the edge.
Yet it seemed so clear and concise, so real. Great film.

Definitely a important film of it's time been the first time a X rated film won Best picture.

It be tame for today's audience but two fantastic central performances from Voight and Hoffman, a film that's pretty downbeat even for today and a fantastic soundtrack by John Barry. Well worth getting the recent Criterion Collection release.
