Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Film Festival (1969) - REVIEW
SPOILERS
-this film is about two pretty boys pretending to be cowboys
-and they spend their time robbing banks
-not because they need the money
-as they rob like 10 banks over the course of the film
-and a train
-twice
-you know if i robbed a bank
-i'd probably be set for many years
-as its a fucking bank
-the only thing a bank has is money
-its not like burgling someone's house and maybe finding a rare jewel or grandma's inheritance
-so these two retards literally cant stop robbing people
-and they're surprised when the local lawman is trying to stop them
-and then there's a scene when robert redford is undressing a woman at gunpoint
-but it turns out she is his girlfriend anyway
-so they were just roleplaying
-bit weird tbh
-ive never been so horny ive roleplayed with a loaded weapon (oooh matron!)
-but i have shot my load while handling someone else's cash
-(never lend me money tbh)
-overall the film was slightly underwhelming
-well shot, good acting from Paul Newman
-but kinda flat if you get my meaning
-and considering spaghetti hoop westerns are my favourite films
-im used to 10/10 ennio morricone scores
-and this film had like no music (probably by design)
-and the music it did have was average
-so anyway at one point our heroes flee to Bolivia
-and Bolivia unsurprisingly turns out to be a fucking backwards shithole
-like there's donkeys and llamas roaming in the street
-like imagine getting off a train on holiday and seeing a fucking llama
-id be like "por fa vour senoir tu et une motherfucking refundo"
8/10
