Why don't people like this movie?

I confess, its been a very very long time since I've seen this movie, but 6/10?
I remember it as a great WWII movie. Tons better then most.
"Inglourious Basterds" gets 8/10?

I guess I'll just have to see it again.

These are just two guesses. I may be way off.

One, it doesn't really get shown all that much on TV. I have it on a cheap DVD but I can't recall when I've seen it lately on broadcast TV or cable. Of course I "cut the cord" a couple years ago so I don't know what History Channel or AMC, TCM, or any of the others show.

Two, it has a bunch of TV actors. Most every American, and even Robert Vaughn for the Germans, were more identified as small screen actors. People seem to discount a movie for that reason. Don't know if it's fair, but they do.

For the record though I like it. Certainly light years ahead of Battle of the Bulge, or, ugh... Pearl Harbor.
