Living with the Bradys, stuck in 1972

If you could somehow magically go back in time and get transported to Brady World circa 1972 as a permanent guest in the Brady home would you? You would be treated as part of the family but would have access only to things that existed in 1972--so no cell phones, computers, internet, video games, etc. Time would never advance so it would forever be 1972. I would do it in a second!

As long as I could be about 17-22 than yeah I would love it!

Sometimes a movie or tv show plot is so stupid that only the stupid can understand it.

I would do it at ANY age. I'm 48 now, so Alice and I could dump Sam and go bowling together, perhaps joining a women's league. I think it would be a riot. Also, I would get to keep some of my other recreational habits going (the early 70's California -- fvck me, hell yeah!). The fun would never end!

reply

Not if it was just '72. Let me relive the entire decade over and over again. I want the Hawaiian vacation episodes. I want the Love Boat and Fantasy Island. I want the Bicentennial. And I want Greg's attic room, along with my own bathroom.

reply

Hmm...would I then have to hang out with the Brady Kids while they went on those kooky adventures withe the talking mynah bird and the twin pandas?

reply

Thanks for the memories!

reply

Don't forget going to big rock concerts with Greg. (e.g. The Carpenters)

reply

The 70s weren't that innocent -- TV shows were cleaner and censorship a lot more strict, but that was about it.

reply

Be around Marcia heck yeah

reply

Phil_Packer_1973, I too wish you could back to 1972 forever!

I much prefer the 80s to the 70s but I’d always for a chance at a life do-over if I am permitted to retain the knowledge of my first life - even assuming prohibitions against changing world events or profiting financially from knowledge of future events. There are many things I’d do differently that have nothing to do with the era or the Brady’s.

A dream for many orphans.

reply

Sure, I was born in 73 anyway so I remember a time before the internet and cell phones and when you were out you were uncontactable.

I'd want to be around 17 - 22 though, good music, women were still feminine. Better lifestyle.

reply

Only if I could choose an age to be.
