I wasn't allowed to watch this as a child

The reason, of course was all the drug scenes which would have gone right over my head at that age. On the other hand, I would have been totally confused and a confused viewer quickly becomes a bored viewer. So I guess I didn't miss much at that age after all.

That's odd; I saw it as a kid but I never knew it was about drugs, nor do I think that it is. This movie in fact, was where I first heard about the Beatles.
