Was Oscar distilling the alcohol or something?

Maybe it was part of the joke that it seemed a lifetime for Felix being alone with the Pigeon Sisters whilst Oscar was away making the drinks and, you know, we're in on the joke that we can feel Felix's awkwardness of trying to bond with the Sisters on his own.

Oscar took a long time on purpose so that Felix could get more used to the girls. Of course he didn't expect what would happen.

Well you know crushed ice in the drinks was mentioned. Maybe he couldn't locate the sledgehammer.

Oscar was carefully minding the meatloaf in the oven. He was also making gravy.

It does seem like a long time. But I agree with blaydes. Oscar took a long time so Felix could talk to the Pigeon sisters. What a mistake! ha!
