don't get it...

I'm from germany and I saw the movie a few days ago on free TV. Even if I think it's crap I wonder why there are just about 800 votes for a movie with these great actors!? Is it so unknown in the U.S.?

I just discover this movie, for the soundtrack cover, the movie is great chaotic movie, absurd and kinky. I just read how many bad critics this movie had, and i wonder why?
its a great movie, nonsense for sometimes, but entretainment 100%, nowadays its great something new like this, not the crap of hollywood w/bimbos or CGI fx

For those poor souls that "don't get it...." How many movies have you seen chock full of A list actors, with a screenplay by Buck Henry and an appearance by Ringo Starr in his first ever solo appearance in a motion picture? If you don't think their individual romps with Candy aren't hilarious then you would be considered ungroovy by Sixties standards. Yes, the film is totally politically incorrect and many of us love the picture for that very reason. And if the movie is such crap, why does a new DVD of the film go for 150 bucks on eBay?

It's a really stupid movie. I can't believe how many big-name celebrities are in it. It's so awful, that it's not even a good campy movie with a cult following. What a waste of the gorgeous Anita Pallenberg.

The flick has a large cult following. It was just released on Blu-ray for those of us in the cult. Like I said, you had to be there, in the 60's, to get it. With today's incredibly politically correct world and the advent of the National Security State, the trippy freedom of the 60's seems eons ago.
