The Monolith aliens vs the galactic empire

Who do you think would win in combat?

A fight would be a lot like a blue whale washing aside a smelt with one swish of its mighty fluke.

Nice metaphor!

The Dumpster gives a whole new meaning to "red" states.

Hinestly the2001the aliens aren't too impressive compared to Star Wars tech even Star Trek tech

So they created a wormhole The empire has mastered hyperspace travel. Can blow up planets and move a moon sized base faster than light speed. Plus one could say force sensitive individuals can think beyond space and time

So them the 2001 aliens created a little star

Hinestly??

"Hinestly" is not word. I believe you meant to say honestly. Its just simple grammar at this point.

Wrong, Bubba! I was poking gentle fun at Pimp Daddy who used the word hinestly. You really do need to pay closer attention.

Apparently I touched a nerve in the other post. Sorry about that, Bubba. I didn't know you were that sensitive. You must be a snowflake.

Any more?

reply

Nope. Not an opinion. Fact.

There you go again, Bubba.

Monolith powers:

- Can't be cut into by engineers on the moon (if I recall correctly), so could possibly slice through big ships
- Multiplies quickly in the billions if not trillions, could become a serious threat quickly due to above or below reasons
- Swallows up things into itself, since it's a wormhole or something

These simple things could be quite serious problems for anyone!

The Monolith aliens, hands down.

What's this obsession with pitting one person/technology against another?

As for comparing 2001: A Space Odyssey with the Star Wars films, it's apples versus oranges.
The Star Wars films are excellent examples of the Science Fiction Adventure.
2001: A Space Odyssey is a outstanding example of a more intellectual Speculative Fiction.
