Weirdest Film You've Ever Seen?

wow, i just watched this film, and while i loved the music sequences and all, it has to be said that this is probably the weirdest film i have ever seen! haha

it overtakes 'tommy' by the who as the weirdest film ive seen.........

what do you all reckon? have you seen more weird or random films than the magical mystery tour?

reply

I agree, it's weirder then Tommy. Tommy has at least a facimile of a plot. I love Magical Mystery Tour, but it is weird and random.

Magical Mystery Tour is in my weirdest top 3 along with Eraserhead and The Man Who Fell To Earth. But that doesn't make them bad, on the contrary!

verademilo17- Magical Mystery Tour is much stranger than The Man Who Fell To Earth! At least, in a psychadelic, strage way. Both are very good, though, we both can agree.

Pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space 'cos its bugger all down here on Earth.

reply

Oh, Eraserhead's not too strange if you understand it. :-)

check out "liquid sky"! it's weird but not in a deliberate "we're going to make the strangest most hallucinogenic movie we can thing of" sort of way, like "magical mystery tour".

reply

I personally thought Yellow Submarine was weirder.

Another one I want to see is Head featuring the Monkees.

What about RHPS?

As much as I love it, it is weird. : )

Hmm...I've seen a lot of bizarre movies in my day, but most of them at least had some sort of story line involved. I think MMT would probably have to be the weirdest. Woot!

I don't want to achieve immortality through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying.

Magical Mystery Tour is obviously just the Beatles trying to make a film without their manager and with lots of LSD. This movie has some great songs, but I prefer listening to them than watching this

Ah, Rocky Horror Picture Show...I finally got to see that movie for the first time on Tuesday, and loved it, but it made me kind of sad, because I grew quite attached to Frank, and, prior to seeing the movie, no one bothered to inform me that he dies at the end.

Anyway, I'd have to say that the weirdest movie I've seen so far (and possibly ever) is The Forbidden Zone. It's got a princess who's spends the whole movie running around in nothing but a pair of panties; the sex-crazed midget king who is her father; a "chicken boy" (whatever that is, I'm still not quite able to figure out) and his transvestite twin "sister"; and a young, then-unknown Danny Elfman stealing the show as a Cab Calloway-esque Satan.

I want...I want...I WANT EVERYTHING I'VE EVER SEEN IN THE MOVIES!

Haha...yeah, "Rocky Horror" sure is weird. But if you watch it a few billion times, you'll find that it does include a plot, however ridiculous (and amazing) it may be. I'd still say that "Magical Mystery Tour" is weirder, because it's sooo stream-of-consciousness.

HEAD is

1. One of the most flippin' amazing movies ever.
2. At least as weird as Magical Mystery Tour.

I want...I want...I WANT EVERYTHING I'VE EVER SEEN IN THE MOVIES!

I love Magical Mystery Tour because I love it, because is a Beatles film, and, most important, BECAUSE it is weird :)

It made me wonder if they'd snuck something into my drink when I first watched it. My friend is used to getting stoned and I was sure he'd stuck something in there like what happened to John, George, Cyn and Pattie. Then I realised the whole thing was REAL! It really was a twisted as it looked.

+ + + + +
I didn't vote for him.

Hell no. I still gotta give it up for "Tommy" as the wierdest. It's also up there with "The Wall."
