Dern is such an amazing character actor. Method actors like him always have that inner something else that seperates them from the average character actor.
Besides ... he's also a RIOT in "The Burbs"!

I think his best is 'Silent Running' cos in his other films for the most part he plays that wild eyed crazy evil mutha so I guess his acting is a bit limited but he's good all the same.
shareYes is he, just came here to ask the question. Was there ever a Dern western where he's a good guy? He always played the bad guy, really bad guy. Even his comic bad guy was bad (Support Your Local Sheriff).
