The Look And Feel Of A TV Movie

Although this was a theatrical release, it has the look and feel of a TV movie. Even the soundtrack sounds like it was made for TV.

That's funny, I don't see it. Seems like a made for the theater movie to me, never has come across as a TV movie at all.

I think that the movie is very well done. And, I think that Ted Post was a good director. I think he made the best Dirty Harry movie with "Magnum Force."

Sure, some of the transitions could have been done better. And, Dominic Frontiere's score is overdone, but I think those were fairly minor quibbles overall.

With lots of mediocre Westerns out there, I would be grateful for a good Western like this.

I agree wholeheartedly, john. Ironically I was thinking of MF just today. It is an excellent film. The inclusion of "Charly" -- Harry's old friend on the force was a solid decision. He brings the film down to earth.

And the four young lads who comprised the hit squad are pitch perfect selections there. Serving the warrant on Palanchio is a fine segment. "We have a warrant for your arrest."

"Serve it!"

A Saturday evening Direct Hit, for citing this out of the clear blue. Bully, john, bully for you.

Thank you. Thank you very much! :-)

It certainly has a real cheap feel to it. Completely agree with the Bonanza and weird edits comments already made. I was wondering why on earth Clint ended up in this post Sergio Leone until Wikipedia provided the answer I suspected:-

"Eastwood signed for the film with a salary of $400,000 and 25% of the net earnings to the film" 😄
