I just watched this movie last night and I'm not sure if it's just me or what but did anyone ever see what happened to Posey? The last shot I see him in is he shoots a flare up in the sky, his partner next to him gets shot and dies and they never shows Posey again, I don't think the other would have left him to die. Can anyone fill me in on this.
shareDuring the end montage, his name is called out and the narrator (I believe George Kennedy) says "They gave their lives in the line of duty" so it's a
given he dies. I've always assumed that his death scene was removed after preview audiences complained, but they didn't want to foot the bill to reshoot scenes with him surviving, or change the montage shot, which is costly.
I would have like to see him punch a nazi and drive his jawbone through his brain!

shareThe first time i watched the movie, his death scene is showed. Just as his partner is shot he jumps out of his position and charges towards the Germans and gets killed.
But i do agree i only watched that death once, every time i catch the movie on tv his death scene is cut for some reason. Must be a different cut.
That's kind of what happens to him at the end of the book. I've only ever seen this on DVD and tv and you only ever see his mate die.
