Speed Racer-Gael García Bernal (Doubt He'd Ever Do It Though)

Racer X/Rex Racer-Vince Vaughn (Dont Know why so many people give him greef for wanting to play the part, i think he'd be perfect for it.

Trixie-Katie Holmes (Don't Know why, She'd be good though)

Pops Racer-Dick Butkus (Think about, he'd be perfect)

Mom Racer-Eva Tamargo Lemus (She play's the spanish mother on the soap "Passions", loose the accent and she's perfect for the part)

Spridle-Spencer Breslin (Kid from the Cat in the Hat).

Sparky-Elijah Wood (They are both Short and have high pithced voices, need i say more?)

Inspector Detector-(????)

Anyone Think otherwise or would like to add on!?

I think Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day would make a good Speed Racer, he has that trim body type and goofy voice.

It Appears that the Wachowski Bros. will be doing the project instead. Here's another thought for catsing, how about Wes Bentley or Carter Blake as Speed?

Okay, guys I think I've really nailed the perfect cast. Tell me if you agree:

Speed: Zac Efron (High School Musical)
I just saw him on the Teen Choice Awards show last night and his hair was short and really dark. I did a double take cause he was the spitting image of Speed Racer. This kid can really act too and he's 19 years old. Just the right age, look, acting ability and he has incredible sex appeal. This kid was born to play the part!

Racer X: I know it's slated to be Vince Vaughan but I really 100% feel that Tom Welling would be an incredible Rex. I agree that he could play Speed as well, but Zac is so perfect for Speed and I think Tom would make an even better older brother.

Mom: I love whoever mentioned Terri Hatcher. Inspired choice.

Trixie: Mandy Moore

Pops: Sylvestor Stallone (in a fat suit) Sorry, that was the best I could do on that one.

Dick Butkus may be cool, but I'm sold on american choppers dad, Pual Tuttal.and I belive main rolls to be no names to keep from biasness.

I am against making a live action of Speed Racer.

But on a sidenote----REAL racer Jeff Gordon of NASCAR fame, looks alot like Speed Racer!!!!
