Racist song

I was totally shocked when I watched the Grinch last year. The last line of the first song says "...and join the Ku Klux Klan!" I know there are gonna be skeptics but I promise you it does.

Listen and see.

If those lyrics are right it has to be "With yards of whofut flant" which sounds close.

We all see what we want to see, and we hear what we want to hear. Dr. Seuss used a lot of nonsense words that may have had similar phonetic qualities to the words you suggest, but you and everyone reading this can rest assured that there is no subliminal message here about joining the KKK.

Yeah. I recently heard the remastaered version and it had been changed...coincidence?

Well, of course it SEEMED to be a good idea 40-plus years ago, in the thick of the civil rights struggle, to entreat folks on network television to join an extremist hate group in the context of a Christmas message...but things change.

It's only racist to those that have schizophrenia.

I know this is going ot drive everyone crazy cause I am driving myself crazy playing this over and over again. My Tivo recorded the Grinch last night Monday 12/24/2007 on WPBF in Florida and in the beginning of the show the song they lead in with, sort of sounds like "join the Ku Klux Klan" but it does not actually say that. The last line is repeated a second time as the preceding line is ending. Where if you are not paying attention will make you think they could be singing join the kkk. I assure you they do not say this. It is......"yards of whofut flant."
