The Monkees have so many great songs...there are only a few I really don't like. "Your Auntie Grizelda" and "The Day We Fall in Love" are two that come to mind.

Most of the 'Changes' album. 'Gonna Buy A Dog' and 'Zilch' are quite hideous too.

When my brother got a copy of More of the Monkees I told him when hears The Day We Fall in Love he might have a strong urge to crack up or turn it off and that was fine, he should just go with it. Guess the producers thought people would listen to anything if Davy sang it.

Gee people have some weird taste. For Pets Sake was the closing theme for the TV show and it's a damn good tune. Grizelda and Laugh are fun throwaway tracks - their version of Yellow Submarine, Maxwell 's silver Hammer, All Together Now - throwaway Beatle tracks. I agree The Girl I left Behind are absolute *beep* They had a a lot of stinkers amongst the evergreens

I assume everyone on this board likes The Monkees. But sometimes there is a song you don't like even by a favorite group. I can't think of a least favorite Monkees song. But my grandfather HATED "Goin Down". I remember totally digging it when he told me Mickey Dolenz was a bum who couldn't sing and needed a haircut. Grandpa was terrific but lacked musical taste.
