Airport Disguises
What has always amazed me is that with the possible exception of Paul, their "disguises" at the airport are almost exactly what they looked like in later years

I totally agree, I watched this recently and Ringo looks totally like he did in the 70's (with the beard and messy hair)
IM glad someone else noticed

Especially John and Ringo!
You are totally right - they even had John Lennon's granny-glasses.
"I'm not Dr Jekyll. I'm Mr Hyde!" - John Hannah, The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
I thought the same thing when I watched that scene. Although, we don't know what John would have looked like.
shareI noticed that too! Amazing.
shareI, too, noticed that. I wonder if they knew then that it would happen?
shareJohn probably liked the look^^
But you are totally right that they were the spitting image of how they were in later years. Especially John and Ringo - John with his glasses and Ringo with his beard and messy hair - and George was quite close too. Maybe Paul noticed what was happening and made it his business not to end up that way.

shareI think John had the granny glasses for real in 1965, he just didn't wear them publicly, so those might have been his real glasses.
shareHe always had glasses. Before, he wore hornrims, as some of the photographs in the Live at the BBC album illustrate. Later, he switched to grannies and started wearing them publicly after filming How I Won the War; his character, Pte. Gripweed, wore grannies throughout the film.
If you ever read Magical Mystery Tours by Tony Bramwell, one of the Beatles' buddies from Liverpool, he says that Lennon had pretty poor vision even as a teen growing up in Liverpool. In fact, Lennon would get into trouble with gangs because he would squint and the gangs would think that he's eyeing their girls. Also, Lennon's vision affected his driving ability, so it would make sense that later he has a limo (a Phantom V Rolls Royce, to be more precise) in which a chauffeur transports him wherever he needs to go.
John had glasses in 1965, but he started wearing his granny glasses in "How I Won The War".
Blood is the rose of mysterious union...
It wasn't meant as disguises, it was more like some sort of time machine confussion. See, George disovered a time machine in the scene, before....that. one. um
well.... it was on the, um, deleted scenes. Yep. I hope that answered your question.

Wasn't there a scene in the script where Clang infiltrates the rooftop concert?

"What do you call that hairstyle you're wearing?"
"Arthur"
John had the "Buddy Holly" glasses (thick black rims) until 1966 when he started wearing his famous "granny" glasses. I've seen pictures of him wearing the Buddy Holly glasses from his teen years up until by 1965, they were candid photos as John always refused to wear those in public and wore contacts instead but they kept hurting him, especially on tour.
