Remake?

I am not making this up, but I read that somebody, I think it was even Tarantio is considering doing a remake...with Britney Spears yet?

Anyone else hear this bit of weirdness?

Tarantino should have enough respect for his distinguished forebears **NOT** to desecrate the corpse of the legendary Russ Meyer by attempting a remake of this classic, groundbreaking movie. It's thanks to pioneers like Russ Meyer that Tarantino's work can even exist.

Instead, he should make his own movie which could be in some way a homage to "Pussycat" and the spirit it represents, but with different characters and a completely different plotline. And yes, it should be 100% black and white and set in the Sixties, not in the present day. That would be a great project for Mr. Tarantino.

Having said that, I admit that the only person who **WOULD** be capable of attempting a remake of "Pussycat" would be Tarantino! In fact, the feel of some scenes in "Death Proof" reminded me of this movie. He could do the remake; but he should be inventive and respectful enough to resist the strong temptation to do so. He needs to rediscover the breathtaking originality and energy that characterized "Reservoir Dogs" and "Pulp Fiction".

Or Nicole Scherzinger, the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls. "Faster, Pussycat, Kill Kill" sounds like the perfect vehicle for her.

Shut up and bleed.

Musicians should not do movies... if you can call the skank Nicole Scherzinger a musician that is.

Apparently Tarantino is considering Britney, Kim Kardashian (wtf?!?!), Lindsay Lohan (why?), porn star Tera Patrick (that'll do), and Eva Mendes (so-so choice). Overall, a C- casting.

uhh what an Abomination!!
Why must they ruin the classics?? I mean are they really that short on ideas?? If it is a horrible movie that they think could have gone somewhere, but failed horrible in exicution is one thing.. but all these movies they are touching are just gems!!
Plus we have stricter sensors these days! can't get away with the mother's revenge scene in Last House on the Left, can't get away with the turtle scene let alone "diddling" a chick with a rock like in Cannibal Holocaust. So why even go there??

It's listed as "in production" on the search page here, but I've seen that before and nothing came out of it.

Having said that, I would Not want to see a butchered remake...or any other kind of remake of this movie! It's appeal is the era it was made and the hilarious one-liners that would be all but lost in a remake...

You! Off my planet!

If they are going to make a remake, I think Kim Kardashian, Megan Fox, and Charlize Theron should be the ladies staring in it.

First of all, old Quenty has neither the talent nor vision to remake this flick. He is so full of his own pretentious *beep* dialog writing that he will never deliver the campy pizzazz that Meyer did. Tarrantino sucks and nobody has the balls to tell him.

Second, other than Tera Patrick as Varla (perfect fit), the rest of the cast should be unknown stunners in the burlesque vein. All the Hollywood Tarts mentioned are a joke. Megan Fox is a stink-bag slut who can't act- she's awful.

Third, the entire idea of remaking this rare gem is as stupid as it gets. It will be crap because you can't remake this. A film is more than a story and actors, it is a reflection of society and a time capsule, and you can't go back to the turbulent odd combination of the 60's. Too much water is under the bridge and you can't pull off the same stuff you could then. Especially with the crap-meister hack at the helm.

Well you're just sparkling ray of sunshine, aren't ya?

Tera Patrick can't act her way out of a brown paper bag.
