The classic 1965-1971 CBS sitcom set in a World War II prisoners of war camp is being rebooted by original show co-creator Albert S. Ruddy along with Danny McBride and his producing partners David Gordon Green and Jody Hill. Ruddy, 89, co-created Hogan's Heroes with Bernard Fein, who died in 1980. Deadline reports "the reimagined version will be a single-camera action adventure comedy series set in present day focusing on the descendants of the original heroes, now scattered around the world, who team up for a global treasure hunt." The potential revival currently doesn't have a network home. The original Hogan's Heroes ran for 168 episodes and starred Bob Crane as U.S. Colonel Robert Hogan, who secretly used the camp to launch Allied espionage missions.

I'll watch but only if half the cast is gay and the other half is black.

Sounds even worse than the original series, if that's possible.
