Why is everyone old?

It’s like 75% of the cast is over 40 and the women are all very average-pretty. The men are so generic...I’ve been watching for two months and I still can’t remember which guy is which. Obviously I will never be able to replace AMC.

LOL

I'm waiting for the oldest one to kick off...

It's because the daytime soaps have been around for a long time, and the new characters don't attract huge followings like the old ones did. The reason for that is because the audiences are growing older and prefer their mainstay characters. These shows will probably all be gone in a few more years.

That's a bummer. I have always like Soaps, day or nighttime, because they are hilariously over the top. I still want to be Erica Kane when I grow up (and I'm 56!)!

I have to admit that they were a guilty pleasure for me. Being a guy, I couldn't really talk about it much.

When I was in college, I had male and female roommates, and I got every single one of them hooked on AMC!

Wayne Gretzky was actually a fan of that show.

This show isn't going to be on the air much longer. It's only still on the air for long time watchers who love these actors and characters and have spent their entire lives watching them. It's pretty much the worst time to be jumping on the bus as a new fan.

I'm desperate. You have to pay for Y&R now. General Hospital is still on, but I liked this show better....

For a while there were a lot of old episodes on YouTube, but they've disappeared. I think Sony should have let them stay there because it could create new fans of the show. it's not like they're offering subscriptions to classic episodes or selling DVDs of them.
