That woman died from skin suffocation?

The woman early on (the one Bond found covered in good pain) - she died from “skin suffocation.” Is that a real thing? People can die from being covered in paint?

reply

Yes, and they die in good pain.

reply

No it is not a real thing.

reply

That old myth. The skin doesn't 'breathe' . If it did then scuba divers would drown all the time.

reply

The mythbusters did a show on it and said it was plausible but I think its because the skin cant sweat so the body cant regulate temperature properly. The skin "breathing" is false though.

You mean "gold paint". This is an excellent reason why people should refrain from AutoComplete on mobile phones. I just typed this by hand without any need of that bullshit, and my post here is immaculate as a result.

reply

I like the typo! "Good pain" makes the murder seem more erotic and sensual.

reply

Also if you watch closely. Eaton is wearing panties which were painted over, so her skin was not covered in paint and could still breathe; if there were any truth to the whole story.

reply

And I believe she only had paint where the camera could see, so her front was probably not painted.

reply

My point was that the character wouldn't die because her skin was not covered in paint.

reply

Most likely metallic powder mixed with baby oil and a gold nylon bikini. If that was the case, it was safe.
