I found a plot hole within the series

Its currently being aired on Sundance TV in all weekend marathon. However I noticed a few things such as why the castaways have so many items with them while shipwrecked on the island. It was only a 3 hour tour said in the opening credits. Also the lagoon part of the island gets so much activity considering its an uncharted island. Other than various guests coming ashore, many things washed up on the shore and was the focus of that episode. Its too far fetched. Anyone else realize this?

If my memory serves me correctly there was an extra man aboard the SS Minnow after it was beached in the storm(1st episode).
Is that a plothole? IDK, just a random memory from the show.

Are you thinking of the different actor who played the Professor in the pilot episode? He was replaced by Russell Johnson. I believe Mary Ann and Ginger were also played by different actresses as well.
