the best part in this whole movie was when one of the hookers had a sailor with her and he stopped outside the hotel cause he was listening to the radio...and the girl says "Come on sailor! Keep rowing!"
i about died. i thought that was the best line in the whole movie.

Top of the pops quote... "...but that's another story..."

Also:

Nestor: Do you have any vague idea what's going in there? (the Hotel Casanove)
Moustache: I have a very definite idea of what's going on in there! They go there to make love.
Nestor: But that's a violation of Ordinance __
Nestor: Shows you the kind of world we live in. Love is illegal - but not hate. That you can do anywhere, anytime, to anybody. But if you want a little warmth, a little tenderness, a shoulder to cry on, a smile to cuddle up with, you have to hide in dark corners, like a criminal. Foooey!

-------------------
Moustache: To be overly honest in a dishonest world is like plucking a chicken against the wind... you'll only wind up with a mouth full of feathers.
------------------
Nestor: (putting on disguise as Lord X) Where's this castle that I'm supposed to own... Worcestershire?
Moustache: That's a sauce. It's Yorkshire.
Nestor: Isn't that a pudding?
Moustache: (sighs)I've tried.

I liked that part where Irma told Nestor that he is not the father and that Lord X is. Nestor said "I'll kill him." Irma said "You already did."

Lord X telling Irma that he was part of the "Cold Cream Guards."

When Nestor asks Irma about her dog: "Is that a toy poodle?" and she goes "No...it's a real live dog!"

And my other favorite is after Nestor first spends the night with her and they're getting to know each other the next morning and she's telling him that her mother was a prostitute and that she was illegitimate and never knew her father, then she adds, "With a background like that you would think I'd have turned out no good!" which is just funny because, after all...she is a streetwalker!

When Shirley or one of the other hookers are talking about a long-time client: "His wife died so he stopped coming around"
