Did anybody notice the monor typographical error Louise makes when she's typing the letter that her husband is supposed to have written to his mother?

The whole typing-while-she's-reading-the-whole-letter-out-loud thing is pretty pointless. I wish Coppola would just let us read as she's typing, and then show just the completed letter instead of dumbing it down for us.
And I appreciate the folks who caught typos, but having Louise use a dictionary and eraser (had correction fluid even been invented yet?) wouldn't have advanced the narrative much, would it?
My theory is that Coppola was setting the stage for dementia by showing the effect the death of her husband had on her.

also there are two other errors in the film
When Louise goes into the water with the toys her underwear is white, but when she is in the water, they are blue.
and
At the beginning, on the boat with John, they talk about the will, and being left to charity under the 'Mysterious' name of Kathleen. Hmmmm....
How can you tell they are blue?

They do look like a blue color bc not dark enough for black, either way they are not the sheer nude color ones she has on when she is walking to the pond. Anyone else shocked they killed her off so quick! I was a lil to be honest!

shareWhat's the big deal with us hearing the words instead of just seeing them? It's a staple in movies. Often, I see films in which people are speaking aloud as they type on computers, sometimes throwing in other comments. How many of us ever do anything like that? It seems to be an odd cinematic habit that is quite widespread.
By the way, I'm watching it right now on THIS channel after not having seen it for several years.
I was just giggling over the voiceover of the letter, whether she's actually saying the words aloud or we're hearing her thoughts, as in the other narration. I keep a film journal, and I even started jotting down instances of this occurring, as it happens so often. One of the best is Whoopi Goldberg in "Jumpin' Jack Flash".

Another, more recent film where it happens is "The Dying Gaul," which involves an Internet chat relationship between two characters, one of whom is masquerading as someone else:

There you see them beginning to type, but they're voicing the entire chat because presumably it would get pretty boring and a lot slower just reading the words. Great film!

I noticed it but didnt think it a big deal. You couldn't press backspace on a type writer and so with a small insignificant error like that I assume most people would just let it be instead of re writing the entire thing over something so small...so maybe that's why he left it bc it wasn't important or a big deal
