shareWith all due respect, I don't fully understand your subject line due to lack of punctuation -- but I can assure you that Elvis saw NO action during his time in the army. The U.S. was out of Korea in 1958, and had not yet escalated soldiers in any real numbers to Viet Nam. He spent all his time abroad in Germany. He was in a very peacetime army and learned how to shoot a gun, drive a tank, and use amphetamines. That's pretty much it.
Elvis spent his Army time in peacetime Germany, lived off-base with family and friends, and yes, picked up the pill habit that gradually escalated and led to his premature death two decades later.
