Worst musical ever?

I've tried to like this musical, but frankly it's awful. It's even worse than Thoroughly Modern Millie. The songs are forgettable, the acting is terrible, and the premise doesn't make any sense. It's no Music Man, that's for sure.

Rent
1776

both far worse

I like 1776. There's a lot going on in that musical. I had the Original Soundtrack as a kid, and I don't remember it being much different than the movie. Not saying it's great and wonderful and all that, but I feel like people want to pile on. I always like seeing William Daniels, Blythe Danner, Ken Howard. John Cullum even takes a turn, nice to see him out of Northern Exposure.
As far as BBB, I remember a little bit of it, but it seemed too silly at the time. AM is great to look at, but that doesn't a movie make.

Grease 2 has to be the worst musical.

Rent, Hamilton, Les Miserables, the execrable Cats, and quite a few other turds are far worse.

In the modern-day category In The Heights or whatever the F it was called was pretty unwatchable.

"Les Miserables" is the worst musical ever. "La La Land" is a close second.
