Mine would be Suzanne Lloyd who appeared in more episodes(six) than any other
actress on the show. Close behind Suzan Farmer and Justine Lord (Galaxy Rose in
The Fiction Makers).
Don't forget Julie Christie from season 2, 3 October 1963. This was almost two years before she became world famous for her roles in Dr. Zhivago and Darling. She didn't have that many scenes in the episode but she had a pivotal role.

shareThough she doesn't really qualify as a "leading lady", my favorite is still Heather Seymour who appeared in The House on Dragon's Rock. A charming and sweet wee lass who had a nice scene in the opening of the episode - her father ran the inn where Simon was staying, as I recall. She'd be somewhere in her 50s now, age-wise. Annette Andre was the ACTUAL "leading lady" in the episode.
I do remember Lois Maxwell(The Only Moneypenny)in a couple of episodes. I believe sge was the bad guy/girl in one of them.
But Annette Andre is far and away my favorite. I did not like when she played a character with a French accent, because I love her british accent.
She was in my favorite episode: The House on Dragon's Rock (1968)
I have also really like Erica Rogers. She wore bikinis in here last two appearances. What a nice body she had.
shareMy personal favourite would be Imogen Hassall, a regular performer in more Lew Grade tv productions, and more Hammer films, than I could possibly count; her last appearance (of several) in The Saint was as a Pakistani (!) model in an episode dealing with the then controversial subject of illegal immigration (or as we would call it today, people trafficking); she was sadly underused by the industry and never reached her full potential; her somewhat exotic looks (she had an Indian grandmother) meant she was typecast as "bad girl" types; her last recorded role was as "Ayak" in "When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth"; an underbudgeted, misconcieved attempt by Hammer to repeat the success of "1,000,000 Years B.C", in which she is last seen going down screaming in quicksand, a metaphor for her whole life in general; she died of a combination of alcohol and sleeping pills on her 40th birthday having got no acting work for several years. A sad end to a life that never fulfilled its initial promise.

shareImogen for me too, especially the early ones before her "Countess of cleavage" days. Pity she seemed such a sad soul and got so typecast, because she had the right background: RBS, LAMDA and a year with the RSC before she was "discovered".
Close second: Alexandra Bastedo - alias Sharron Macready - classy blonde hottie and fellow Brightonian (well, Hove).
