Based on ages revealed in the series, George got Jane pregnant when she was 16 and he was 24. Guess morals and laws are looser in the future? 🤔

That wouldn't have been as much of a big deal back then. Although I always find it odd that people research the lives of imaginary characters though. They probably weren't well thought out to the degree of ages to begin with.
