reply

yes when it was re-released in 1991. I was five and went to McDonalds afterwards and got Pongo in my happy meal. :)

reply

yup, and it was raining so bad the theater flooded!

reply

yeah i saw it in the rerelease. It was the first movie I saw at the cinema- ever! I even remember the cardboard cutout standing as an advertisement in the movie theatre- and I was like 2! After that I was obsessed with the movie until I was 8 or so. I even wrote a song about how much I loved dalmatians and everyone I know tease me about it now.

We lived in Japan when the live action version came out. On the day we found out about our son (we were adopting), we found out we could pick him up the next day. I was so excited/nervous/scared that I couldn't think about cooking dinner and when my husband asked what I wanted, the only thing I could think of was a Big Mac. We hardly ever ate at McD's because there wasn't one on the US Base and on the economy it was expensive - that night our Big Macs were $9 a piece. They had a promotion for the movie and with each Big Mac we were able to get a stuffed puppy - they were about three inches tall and six or seven long. One became my son's favorite toy for the first six months of his life.

I saw it once in theaters when I was 5 or 6. It was released around my 6th birthday but I can't remember if it was before or after I had a birthday but I saw it with my family and my aunt and her two kids.

Oh yeah I remmeber the Happy Meal. I got Cruella and then I saw her in the movie. I didn't like her because she yelled too much.

I saw the re release in theaters but I thought it was longer ago than 91. Guess not though.

I remember seeing it on rerelease in the theatre, but it was a bit earlier than 1991. Probably mid- to late '80s, in the UK.

Yup, it was the first movie my mom took me to see in 1991 when I was 2. It had to be 1991 because it would've been 30 years old then, so why not do a re-release? We didn't stay too long because I started to cry when the lights in the theatre went down. Oh well, lolz. I don't know if my mom got her money back but she wasn't happy.

I guess maybe my first movie that I actually sat through could've been Aladdin when I was 3. But I have absolutely NO memory of seeing it. I do however remember when it came out on video in the summer of 1993 and I laughed so hard at the part when Iago said "I'm gonna stuff the crackers down HIS throat, HAHA!"

I know! I think I saw it as a rerelease in the eighties, along with quite a few other Disney films (like Pinocchio).

I saw it in the late 60's or early 70's. I was in grade school.

Have fun. Lifes' too friggin' short.

I did. In 1995, when I was a child, with my sister and a female cousin. I laughed uncontrolably hysterically when Horace accidentally sit his butt on the fireplace and his reaction to that.

In its initial, 1961 release. Loved it then, still love it.

Haven't seen the remakes.
