Why did Ed never talk to anyone but Wilbur?
I can't remember if this was ever clearly explained.
shareI can't remember if this was ever clearly explained.
shareNot only did he talk to people on the phone (pretending to be human), but he typed out potential child names for a friend who was a (pregnant) mare, and Roger Addison read the list and assumed Wilbur had typed the names and that Carol was the 'future mother.'
My name is Tim, and I'm not wearing any pants!
He was saying some funny stuff to Clint Eastwood over the phone in one episode, I believe Ed had a crush on Clint's horse.
shareActually, he was upset that Eastwood's horse was stealing all of his fillies! So, he was trying to get him out of the neighborhood. It was so funny when he gets on the extension and gets Eastwood in trouble with his girlfriend and the movie producer!
shareIn a first season episode he said he talks to kids because no one would ever believe them. He said that wilbur was the only person ever worth talking to.
shareIt's called a gimmick, you idiot. There would be no show if he talked to everyone. It's the same reason Gilligan kept screwing over the castaways. When did Americans become so ridiculously insipid??
