Patrick has died

Just read the sad news of his death. What a shame and what a loss.

He will always be the suave and charming Steed to me. R.I.P Patrick and all sympathies to his family and friends.

Go to bed Frank or this is going to get ugly .

I haven't been on this board before, but now is the time to be here. "The Avengers" was the first TV series starting at 9 p.m. my parents would allow me to watch on (German) TV...about 49 years ago, every Tuesday night, when I was close to 10 years old. It made one hell of an impact. We regularly discussed the latest episodes with some of our school teachers. With Patrick, another piece of my youth has died. The impacts are getting closer. But first of all I'll rewatch all the John Steed/Emma Peel episodes on Blu-ray. Thank you for everything, Patrick.

He is the Avengers. Sure there was a change in female cast. But he was the Avengers and always will be! RIP!

Blessings for Fathers!

Rest in peace.

You made the whole concept of being a British Secret Agent 'Cool!' to a whole generation of people, and without John Steed having paved the way, that other British guy would be less of a success than he is.

A 'Tip of the Hat' to the best British Secret Agent ever!

Thank you for all the memories you've left us. We'll try to do you proud.
After all, you set the bar on 'Class'!

Double-0 Aught

PS, Don't forget your umbrella, because a gentleman is never without one.
