Kirk Douglas, the abuser

So, today I was having a movie day watching TCM and they had a pretty good menu in their schedule, 'The westerner' followed by 'The life and times of judge Roy Bean' , 'Shane', 'Hud', all of them excellent movies, then they showed 'Spartacus', and after watching such awesome films during the day specially 'Hud', which I hadn't seen I was excited to watch a roman times epic. But i couldnt watch it, remembering how Kirk Douglas is an alledged abuser of Natalie Woods, I just couldnt stand seeing his face. And by the way this allegedly abuse claims came from Natalie Woods sister, in her book about her sister's life and mysterious death. Look it up. So my point in this story and the fact I wanted to share my dislike and very close to hatred of mr douglas and his essence of being a bully abuser who took advantage of a young, vulnerable lady, there is no excuse, he just showed his true colors. Also, i would like to point out the fact that kirk douglas was still alive when this allegations were made, and he did not defend himself in the matter. Anyway, iIcan't stand him, his name, his face, and anything he ever did. Abusers cant be a part of the culture. What a shame, people like him should be erased forever .

He's dead, Natalie Wood is dead, Spartacus is over 60 years old, and it's still a great movie.

Go ahead and cancel a dead dude over unproven allegations if you want to. It does nothing. It doesn't make people see you as virtuous. It results only in your loss of some great films.

I will keep revisiting this great example of a Hollywood epic and thoroughly enjoying it.
