Cannot take this film seriously
He's dressed as a woman.
shareHe's dressed as his dead mother, and he's holding a very sharp knife. What's not to take serious?
shareI remember this OP from imdb.
shareSo is that good or bad?
shareI'm not sure. Seems to be a post designed to get a rise out of us...was last time, too.
I'm not inclined to get in any trouble with any other posters this early in the "save" that is this board.
I think the post is FINE...just fine.
No, its a simple fact. I can't take him seriously. Other guy you mention probably had the same reason. Norman Bates was just ridiculous.
shareSorry, I can't take you serious either. That's like saying you don't take serious the serial killer in Silence of the Lambs because he wore a dress. Who cares what they wear?!!! The fact that they are killers is what should be taken seriously.
But okay, I concede that Anthony Perkins did look a bit funny with the wig and dress. 😁
Remember, this was 1960. It seems like a trope now, but it was fresh at that time. You have to (or should) watch these older movies through the eyes of someone in that age.
shareThe fact he's dressed a woman
shareLove this thread, thanks for the laugh :)
shareYes, in real life, the sister would have burst laughing seeing Norman dressed as a woman.
