(I think i got this right, or pretty close)
Yul to Rob Vaughn: I heard you were looking for the Johnson brothers... What happened?
Rob Vaughn reply: I found them.

beavertoof:
Yeah...my personal fave was 'Nobody throws me my guns & tells me to run; Nobody'
NM
No the best was in Shane.
Alan Ladd to Jack Pallance "I've heard about you"
"What did you hear?"
"I heard you were a no good low down yankee liar"
How about this from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid :
They're about to jump into the ravine to escape the posse, but the Kid is reluctant.
Butch : "What's wrong ? We gotta jump."
Sundance : "I can't swim."
Butch : "Are you kidding ? The fall'll probably kill ya !"
New walls....they won't keep me out.
They were built to keep you in.
chico - they hid them, thought we'd rape them...
chris - well we might...but they could've given us the benefit of the doubt...
"They ain't fin'a get me! Imma be on COPS!"

I don't really believe that there were 'best lines ever' in this movie. In my opinion, I think these guys just reeked of cool. They were the epitome of the word. The way the walked. The way they talked. Hell, even the way they rode their horses.
"Eva Longoria must be a lesbian cause she married a woman."
I've seen a town with ugly women, and I've seen a town with pretty women, but I've never seen a town with no women.

I agree with nmitsialis, that is ONE of the best lines in the movie. The other line is said by McQueen...."We deal in lead, friend."
shareI liked "The man who fell from the 10th floor; people on each floor heard him say 'so far so good' as he passed"
shareTrue story but slightly exaggerated. There was this fellow who lived in my little town that was prone to throwing temper tantrums over the slightest incident. He would scream cuss and yell. Mostly cuss. One day at work he fell about 10 feet into some soft mud.
Later when one of his co-workers heard of the incident he said; "Did Mr._____ say anything about his fall?" The fellow he was talking to replied; "Why yes, he got out three Goddamn SonOfaBitches and a *beep* before he hit."

my favorite line from this movie is "if God didn't want them sheared, He wouldn't have made them sheep".
one of my favorites from any movie would be by clint eastwood in unforgiven. after little bill says, "i don't deserve this, to die like this. i was building a house". and wm mony says "deserve's got nothing to do with it"
The best line was from Yul: "I've been paid a lot before, but never everything".
He took the job because they truly needed him.
yeah, this is my favorite
**** --------------- ****
It's all in the reflexes!
That's my choice.
shareGreat dailogue all around. Tough to pick.
"So what else is on your mind besides 100 proof women, 90 proof whiskey, and 14 karat gold?"
My personal favorites are:
Yul: I've been offered a lot for a job before, but never everything.
Eli: If God didn't want them to sheared he never would have made them sheep!
On the way to the village:
Vin: Ridin out there in all that dust and heat. What a chucklehead!
Chris: Yeah. Not smart like us.
On the way to Boot Hill:
Chris: Don't worry. We"ll get there.
Vin: It's not gettin up there that bothers me. It's stayin up there that I mind.
Meeting O'Reilly who is chopping wood for his breakfast:
Chris: I'm a friend of Harry Luck's. He tells me you're broke.
O'Reilly: Naw, I'm doin this because I'm an eccentric millionaire.
The whole movie contains classic dialog.
We deal in lead, friend.
"Enemies...none"
"No enemies?"
"...Alive..."
Love that line but yeah as you guys said great movie with great lines

Britt aims his gun at the fleeing bandit and shoots. The bandit falls. I think it is Chico, who says that is the greatest shot I have ever seen. Brit (Coburn), replies, it was the worst. I was aiming at the horse!!
Love it!
"If God didn't want them to be sheared he never would have made them sheep!"
One of the greatest movie lines of all time.
However, I recall it as being:
"If God didn't want them to sheared he WOULDN'T have made them sheep!"
Not positive, though.
I think my favorite line from Shane is from the Criterion DVD 'SHANE: THE ULTIMATE DIRECTOR'S CUT' Right before the gunfight Shane says to Jack Wilson; "So you're Jack Wilson..." And Jack Wilson replies; "That's right, Shane, I'm Jack Wilson, I'm the lost Beach Boy, now let's go surfin'!"

Here are a few lines that I haven't seen mentioned:
“The graveyards are full of men are very young and very proud.”
“A dollar always looks as big to me as a bedspread.”
“That was the greatest shot I’ve ever seen.”
“Worst. I was aiming at the horse.”
I think the best line is one that's only partially spoken:
Chris & Vin are sitting in the bar and talking about the job, Vin asks Chris "How many you got?" Chris holds up one finger, Vin responds by holding up two.
That scene kills me. Ranks up there with Chris & Vin on the stage coach with the theme song playing.
The score really makes this movie what it is. Classic & Cool.

Sorry but I disagree with everyone!!
"Seemed like a good idea a the time."
Approximate number of movies I've seen in the theater: 75.
Most of the lines by all 7,
and everything McQueen says
" Look, there's two women fuc*ing a polar bear!" - Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas 1998
Calvera - "We checked the poor box. Only pennies".
Bandito - "We took it anyway."
Calvera - "I know we took it anyway. I was making a point."
That might not be exactly right, but of all those stars, I think Eli Wallach stole the movie.

I agree with this. Best line in the movie, should be somewhere in the top 100 movie quotes of all time.
Nazis. I hate these guys.
"I was born a bar steward. You're a self made man."
Lee Marvin. Awesome!
This cracks me up everytime!
"You know, if we're not careful, we can have quite a social life here."
"Oh, it's not so bad. I fell in with a fast crowd yesterday that hangs out near the fountain. We got to predicting the weather for today and didn't break up until twilight."

The best western line ever comes from Clint Eastwood in The Outlaw Josey Wales.
Bounty hunter #1: You're wanted, Wales.
Josey Wales: Reckon I'm right popular. You a bounty hunter?
Bounty hunter #1: A man's got to do something for a living these days.
Josey Wales: Dyin' ain't much of a living, boy.
In reply to mwoodring, that "waterbucket" line is from Burt Kennedy, the director/writer of several decent "B" westerns. It is also used in some of his other films - Hannie Caulder, Return of the Seven, and some others that I don't feel like looking up right now.
Anyway, the topic here is Mag 7 lines. As I alluded in an earlier post, this movie contains more quotable dialog than any western of it's era. Every one of the Seven has memorable quotes and so does Calvera. Walter Bernstein wrote the script based on The Seven Samurai film but removed his name from the script when he declined to travel to Mexico and provide rewrites. William Roberts was given the screenplay credit when he made the trip.
I have a copy of the original Bernstein script and almost every word in the final film is verbatim. There are several minor alterations, probably attributed to the cast (particularly McQueen) and only two scenes that were either deleted or not filmed.
The first scene involved a candidate for hire before Chico and Harry, the other is a shooting demonstration from Vin during the training sequences.
My opinion is that the first scene was filmed and cut. This is based on the remaining dialog and broken continuity of the released print.
There is also an edit in the final battle when Chris dives into the dust firing his Winchester which subsequently jams. I think it was cut because Brynner wanted his character to be above making such a non-professional error.
Comments are welcome.
We deal in lead, friend.
(After someone shoots through Brynner's cigar, McQueen asks "sideways"):
McQueen: You get elected?
Brynner: No...but I got nominated real good.
