Nothing much has changed. Frederic March could be playing Sarah Palin. America has not progressed much from its dark days of the KKK, slavery and ignorance. Tracy vs. March. A slugfest of acting and of ideals. The human mind vs. superstition. This movie needs to be re-made. Not a word needs changing. Not an attitude needs altering. It's all there. Today's world without the great acting but with the same ignorance and brilliance. The north won the war for a reason. Reason itself.

Conservative Christians are trying to change America into a theocracy, and using Sharia law as described in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible. They want to change the allegiance of the President. Rather than putting his hand on the Bible, and swear to uphold the Constitution, conservatives want the President to put his hand on the Constitution, and swear to uphold the Bible.

Actually , I've been watching it for the first time in YEARS. It's even more frightening that's it's still happening today! I think the people that espoused that side of anti science crap are even more virulent in their attacks on common sense today because they can say it online and it's taken as fact. They have no idea how to do a fact check and would be too lazy to do it if they knew how.

It's nice to see the US progressing toward secularism, very slowly and with much resistance, but the large number of young people leaving the religions of their parents in droves is at least a small comfort.

Let's hope Trump being elected is the dying death throes of the anti-intellectual strain in America. He has appointed the least educated team around him for about a hundred years. Take that book learnin'.

The sane half of the US can only hope he does not do too much damage in the time he has.

Unfortunately, Trump did so much damage it will take decades to remedy it. Too bad so many dimwitted individuals were taken in by an obvious conman with zero intelligence or worthiness of the office of the presidency. Thankfully, that mistake was mended in November of 2020.

It's funny when people here talk about the KKK, human trafficking, "The Wall", slavery, and ignorance.

The KKK was created and populated by Democrats. Most human trafficking comes over the southern border, kept open by Democrats. The Wall would curtail most of it. There has been no legal slavery in the U.S. for almost 160 years. Climate change hysteria, the transgender cult, and forced masking--all pushed by the left--are perfect examples of science-denying ignorance.
