Can anyone tell me why theres no Dracula?
Please, post the answer if you know it?
shareChristopher Lee was unwilling for many years to return to the role of Dracula which is why the first "official" sequel, Dracula Prince of Darkness didn't appear until 1965. Brides was originally intended to be the first sequel but when Lee refused to appear they had to rework the script leaving Van Helsing in and replacing Dracula with one of his disciples
shareWell, on the Trivia page here, it says:
"Contrary to popular belief, Christopher Lee did not refuse to appear in this film, rather he was not asked for fear that the studio would have to pay him more money."
You really need to clarify your question.
Are there no "Draculas"? Vlad Tepes and his brother Radu both had male heirs but I have no idea of their geneology.
Are there no real "vampires"? This feels like a religious question. There may be or may be not.
Are there no "Dracula movies"? Wait a bit and one will show up.
What are you looking for?

I think his question is blatantly obvious and needed no clarification. Why isnt Dracula in this movie?
Actually Anakinforce, The Brides of Dracula is an "official" sequel to Horror of Dracula.

If Brides is supposed to be an official sequel to Horror, then why is Van Helsing shown to be somewhat unfamiliar with Vampirism and takes to staking like it is his first time. I see how this SHOULD fit into the chronology, but the way they used Van Helsing does not fit.
.
That isn't true at all. It's obvious Van Helsing knows what he's talking about, and it's directly stated that he's there because he's been summoned by the priest because he's an expert in such matters.
sharelitvak, his question was perfectly clear. He was asking why Dracula did not appear in this film. Don't be a smartass.
Come, fly the teeth of the wind. Share my wings.
