I've always loved the scene in the jail with Martin and Nelson singing, Duke and Brennan watching and enjoying. Was a soundtrack from this film ever released?

Back in the day this was released on a '45 rpm record, with Dino singing with an orchestra. It was on the flip side with the main side being the title song, "Rio Bravo", which is an instrumental during the main credits. We hear a bit of Dino singing it during the end credits.

I found the lyrics.

I just saw this for the very first time, knowing nothing about it, and I figured with both Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson, there'd be some singing. I was right. I was expecting it to be incredibly cheesy, and it just wasn't - it was perfect for the time, the mood, and best of all, I said Stumpy's line before he did - it shore wuz purty!

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

I watched Red River recently & the same tune (minus lyrics) is part of the soundtrack!

Yes, composer Dimitri Tiomkin revived his RED RIVER theme for the song in RIO BRAVO. It is also used in the trailer I believe. An original soundtrack CD has finally been released: http://store.intrada.com/s.nl/it.A/id.9501/.f
