Thoughts on This Movie

I really had to slog through this one, it just did not hold my attention. And I wouldn't have had any idea of what was going on if I didn't read some recaps while I was watching it.

Ava Gardner still has a great figure at age 37, which you really see in her dress that she wears onto the boat. But her face is definitely showing the wear and tear of alcohol. She looks puffy and older than her years.

I don't understand Anthony Perkins' popularity as an actor at all. Other than Psycho. which he's perfect in, I haven't found him appealing in any other movie. He's not at all convincing as a romantic lead, and he plays the same twitchy, awkward character in every one.
