In "The New Exhibit", does Martin kill himself?

Martin has the delusion that the wax figures are responsible for the murders that he has engaged in. Does he commit suicide at the end, or is the outlandish belief somehow brought to life? By then, the man can't manage his mind anymore and might imagine that the items are attacking him with whichever weapon he uses on himself.

I don't know

It never actually explains it so I guess it's left up to interpretation. My interpretation is that he does the killing, including to himself. But, it is The Twilight Zone, so one never knows for sure.

I just saw another episode, A Thing About Machines, which also leaves you wondering whether things are really happening or whether they're delusions.

Thank you, jcnyclv. Martin is a serial murderer, whether historically or a newly formed one. It just isn't ascertained that he kills himself. I'm leaning toward it because of the mental breakdown at the end, but these episodes aren't always scientifically accurate. Maybe the figures do come to life and the matter is a metaphorical warning that never taking responsibility for your actions will catch up to you.

That's certainly possible and does make sense. You gotta love The Twilight Zone. These episodes are timeless!

Thank you. Yes, this show is in a class by itself.
