Where is the DVD???

Man I really wish they would release this movie on DVD already! I've seen this movie 3 or 4 times on TV over the past 10 years or so and it just gets better each time I see it. This classic is just way overdue for a DVD release in my opinion. Anyone else love this movie?

I saw it on tv when I was a kid and I remember that it was really funny. I too would love to see it on dvd, especially if they can get some of the surviving actors to do commentary or at least do some kind of featurette with them.

reply

I love this movie as well. It's on my permanent search list on Direct TV. I would love to see it on dvd.

I'm with everyone on this.....I found a bootleg copy of this on DVD once....wish I had picked it up....oh well, guess I'll keep waiting....

reply

A Criterion Edition would be nice! We can only hope for ANY edition to be released before DVDs become obsolete lol!

reply

Got the DVD.. E-bay answers prayers... looks great!

reply

C'mon Warner Brothers! Whats the hold up? Criterion? anyone? get this film out already!

reply

you can get this movie at this website:www.amazon.com it is only on vhs tape.

reply

Please come out with the DVD and don't wait for Andy Griffith to pass away first. I love this movie and haven't seen it in forever. Please, please, please.

reply

I'm a mere limey but I've been waiting for this to appear on dvd, too. I saw it here in England soon after its release. Another guy and I were absolutely convulsed in an otherwise fairly quiet cinema. Obviously we had that particular sense of humour. The film doesn't get on to TV here, at least not in the last 30 years or so.

reply

I could not agree more. I love it. Been waiting forever...

Well, 8 years, anyway.

This along with a few classics are much needed for release on DVD. It is either a studio holdup or like a lot of John Wayne movies a family holds the rights. As a person once said can't we all just get along, release it!!

reply

Probably does have something to do with the rights. I bought a bootleg copy a few weeks ago but the transfer is horrible. Oh well, at least I did get to see it again for the first time in years.

Amazon is currently compiling a list of potential DVD customers for this film. Go there and sign up to receive an e-mail notice of its availability.

Six Actual......OUT!
