reply

Yes, lots of truck driving in this one.

reply

is he a cop?

reply

I don't think so,unless I missed something.

reply

I like the poster. I think the poster is more interesting than the movie so far.

reply

I must have missed it, was there a link to Twitch or something?

reply

No link, but it is on Youtube and also on the Criterion channel. We started watching at the same time and are commenting on it.

reply

Ah ok thanks

reply

If you want to do something similar and a group watch anytime, you can let me know and I will join in.

reply

Awesome, sounds like fun.

reply

If you and Hownos and whoever else want to pick a movie that is available somewhere like Tubi or Youtube, we could do a group watch tonight at 9 pm eastern (about 40 minutes from now).

reply

Bit late for me I'm afraid, it's almost 2am here.

reply

Okay, understandable. Another day then.

reply

Is it me or does this movie feel longer than it is?

reply

it's a bit longer than necessary. most film noir from that era are about 80 to 90 minutes long.

reply

My review: This has a good cast and nice cinematography, but I didn't find the story that interesting. I felt there was too much driving around and not enough noir elements. It also seemed longer than it was. A couple good scenes though. 6/10.

reply

a bit too much dialogue i thought. the premise was a bit weak. most of the men were willing to die for a cigarette case. there needed to be something more at stake in terms of dollars. maybe a drug smuggling operation. a bit of a waste of a good cast. 5.5/10
